Clint Bozner signs with Northern Arizona
August 13, 2010
Mike Adras
and his Northern Arizona staff have received a grant-in-aid
letter from 6-7 Clint Bozner for this fall. We received a
heads-up from Clint Bozner and his Dad Rich that Clint had
signed with Northern Arizona after visiting the Flagstaff
campus over the past weekend. Bozner had been considering a
year of junior college (LA Trade Tech) to develop physically &
game-wise (he's an excellent student & of course a qualifier),
but that ended after he took his visit to Northern Arizona and
he he swaw the opportunity the school offered to him. "The
underlying factor that influenced my decision was that I could
come in early and contribute to this program," Clint Bozner
told Hoopmasters. "As well as the large amount of
upperclassmen that gives the team a better chance to win the
Big Sky." "I also really like the coaching staff and the
college town atmosphere in Flagstaff." Clint knows that
it will be a step by step process, but that he can help the as
a frosh then reach his future goals in basketball at Northern
Arizona in the future. "I feel that I can be a big contributor
at the 3 and 4 spots this year. I know my role behind CameRon
Jones and Eric Platt, Bozner explained. "I just plan to help
the team by rebounding, altering shots, and making hustle
plays with occasionally scoring." "I have always been
able score and I know that I can do so if I'm called to play
that role this year and the years ahead of me at NAU."
He chose Northern Arizona over recent interest from Portland
State, Cal State Fullerton, UC Irvine, Montana State, Fresno
State, and UC Riverside, if he had gone to a year of junior
college, and a number of division two programs since he ended
his high school career last spring...Congratulations to Clint
& his family on his college choice.
BR Players Continue to Receive Interest After Solid Summer Performances August 5, 2010 Basketball Realm alumni have continued to impress college coaches with strong summers and have received increased interest from many Div I Programs on the West Coast. Katin Reinhardt has continued to impress coaches with his scoring ability and overall game, including in Las Vegas where he exploded for a 49 point performance in July with his Mater Dei High School Team. Reinhardt has continued to receive major interest from Pac 10 schools including Utah, USC, Arizona St, Cal, UCLA & Stanford. On the other hand, Shaquille Hunter has exploded on the scene as one of this years under the radar sleepers. After a strong spring with BR and summer with his High School, Villa Park, Hunter has put together scoring outputs of 38, 30, 32, 28, 31, & 35pt games in this summer's Cream of the Crop and Double Pump Tournaments. Hunter has received major interest from Long Beach St, Cal State Northridge, San Diego, USC, San Jose St and many more. Scott King, Mass Rivals (MA), got a chance to showcase his game on the West Coast in Las Vegas and Anaheim. King Has received major interest on the East Coast and is now creating a buzz on the West as well. With his long 6'8 frame, King can step out to 3pt range and has a solid post game. Rob Filley has continued his solid play all spring and summer and has received interest from NYU and U of Chicago to name a few. Our class of 2013 players also created a buzz for the future has to offer. Evan Zeller displayed a variety of offensive moves as his scoring ability and 3pt shooting were put on display at the Double Pump Tournament. Zeller stirred up some notice with his energy and tenacity despite being the youngest player on the court every game. The future looks bright for our student athletes.

Several BR Alumni Receive Interest and Offers in the Fall July 16, 2009 Three of our Basketball alumni have received interest and scholarship offers from several colleges this fall after having very successful individual showings the last few months. Mater Dei's Katin Reinhardt has received much interest from several Div I schools including UCLA, Cal, Gonzaga, and San Francisco. Villa Park's Shaquille Hunter had a great showing at the 2010 Cream of the Crop Showcase including scoring explosions of 38 and 40 points. Shaq has created a buzz and is being seen as one of the best scoring guards on the west coast. Northridge, San Jose St., Loyola Marymount and Stanford have displayed interest to this under the radar player. On the East Coast, Scott King from Holderness Prep has had a solid spring and has received interest from Sacred Heart, Robert Morris, Fordham and UC Irvine. Scott has shined in East Coast Events an will be testing the West Coast Talent in July Events. We look forward to the future may bring for these standout players.

2012 Impact Players,
Katin Reinhardt
(6-4, 180) 2012, Santa Ana, Calif./ Mater Dei, SG ESPN.com, By Joel Francisco, Scouts Inc.
After Tyler Lamb graduates, Reinhardt -- think of a young J.J. Redick -- appears to be the next Division 1 scoring guard/wing out of this prestigious school. He has a solid looking frame with decent length and overall upside. Reinhardt plays with great energy at both ends and despite being very young he moves well without the ball. His ball skills are solid and he has deceptive quickness and speed. He has a tight handle and had one of the moves of the tournament when he performed a "reverse spin dribble" along the baseline and handed out a nifty one-handed pass to an open teammate. His jump shot is tight with range beyond the stripe and he has great rotation. He is especially effective coming off of a screen for the catch and shoot. Depending on where his body is headed, Reinhardt is definitely one to track over the coming years.
2012 Reinhardt On the Rise May 24, 2009 WestCoastHoopReview.com
"There are plenty of players that fall under the radar on a yearly basis, especially those not based in the city of Los Angeles. However, some of these underrated players find their way into the spotlight as has 6'4 Mater Dei wing Katin Reinhardt. Very athletic, Katin is good at getting to the rim and finishing but is even better at making plays for his teammates off the dribble. He is a hard worker that rebounds well and is also a good shooter. Though he needs to become more consistent offensively and get stronger, like most players his age, he recognizes his weakness and is doing everything he can to improve them on a tournament basis."
*Katin scored 50 points and dished out 8 assists in a victory over ISAF, in the 2009 BCA Memorial Invitational in Lynwood, CA. |
